My Dear Mary

I was not at all surprised with any mail-with you or the family.  Would it be necessary fro you to come to Bpt. again soon.  I do want to see you.  These gloomy days are a little tedious what with me in my room by myself.  We have a new boarder, a gentleman.  He is not company for me.  Las Sunday I went to church for the first time in more than a year.  (??????) Miss Smith is very nice + I enjoy her.  The family from New York have gone home.  Bessie went right home.  Has Will gone to Waterbury?  They have sent a specific invitation for him to go and see them.  I shall hope to see you before very lon.  Love to Henry + Carlton.

Mother’s love

Sarah H Smith
